about sharon

Sharon is a fashion industry professional with an intersectional background in science, fine arts, and apparel production. She has spent the past decade working across commercial fashion and independent creative practice. Her work is guided by technical skill, visual storytelling, and respect for process.

Sharon started out as a self-taught fashion illustrator at age 12, fascinated by the interplay between human movement and textile behavior in ballet. Her aesthetic has been shaped by the illustrator-designers of the early 2000’s. In high school, Sharon took fine arts classes at Ashcan Art, and went on to earn her B.A. at Vassar College in Biology and Creative Writing, with additional study in art history and fine arts. As a post-grad, between internships and jobs, Sharon studied fashion history, design, and illustration at at the Parsons School of Design. She has been illustrating fashion for 20+ years.

Sharon is currently offering small-group fashion illustration classes in the Hudson Valley, designed for middle school and high school students who are curious about fashion, art, and visual expression. Studio sessions focus on foundational fashion illustration skills in a supportive environment. Students receive individual feedback while learning to work thoughtfully within a creative community.

Outside the studio, Sharon can be found writing poetry or climbing. She is part of the American Mountain Guides Association, and is working on her certification to begin guiding at her home crag at the Shawangunks, NY. She is passionate about the creative arts, movement in nature, and helping students (including her kid) lean into and hone their creative expression.
